When Royce' Chocolate started having stores in the Philippines a few years ago, it was big news for all Pinoy chocoholics. You didn't have to wait any longer to go on a trip abroad to be able to buy them, or ask traveling friends to get a hold of them for you. In the past, I was partial to their Champagne Nama and their Potatochip Chocolate. These have been my favorites for quite some time, and these are what I buy whenever I allow myself to indulge in some Royce' chocolate.
Today, my friend Eileen texted me to say that she dropped off some chocolates for me at my office- a pre-Valentine gift of sorts. When I went to get it at the lobby, I was very happy to see that the chocolates were from Royce. The size and shape of the box were unfamiliar to me though.
When I opened it and saw that it was called "Nutty Bar Chocolate", I was even more excited. I love nuts in my chocolate, and this sounded something I would totally enjoy. According to the box, it was "Almond Pecannut Cashewnut Macadamianut Nutty puff and Praline in Chocolate". Heaven!
I ripped off the box's wrappings and saw that it had ten individually wrapped bars inside. In principle, this allows one to eat it over a period of time (with the Nama and the chips, you have a time limit after opening since all of the chocolate is exposed).
In practice though, this period of time translated to five minutes right after I opened the box.

To be fair, I only finished half the box in those five minutes. I have to admit though that it took all my self control not to consume the whole box in one (ten-minute-or-less) sitting.
Obviously, Royce's Nutty Bar Chocolate was a hit with me. As I said, I had to draw on a lot EQ to put away the remaining five bars to enjoy later. But judging from the way I can't stop looking at the box though, that "later" might just mean a few minutes from now.
