My siblings and I don't see much of each other, mostly because that's what happens when you grow up and get lives of your own. My sister Giselle and my brother John both have their own families now, so we usually just see each other on random Sundays at our parents' house. (My other brother Jerick is in LA, so we see him even less often.)
Last Saturday, we decided to spend some time together at Giselle's house. I rode with John, his wife Tintin, and their new super adorable baby Raffy to Giselle's, and Tintin brought with her a huge box of Ghirardelli Triple Chocolate Brownie Mix. It was a huge, rather heavy box, since it was good for several batches.
Tintin set to work on preparing the brownies as soon as we got there. She had forgotten to bring walnuts which she intended to add to the recipe, but luckily Giselle had some in the fridge, and they were all chopped up already. The recipe seemed simple enough to prepare, Tintin just needed to add oil and eggs. While the brownies were baking, the smell was heavenly and very heavy with chocolate. I couldn't wait to try them.
As soon as the brownies were cool enough to eat, we dug into the pans. The brownies were so dense, moist, rich, and of course, chocolatey. I think I consumed enough brownies for four people, but the calories were well worth it.
